Jennifer Belanger

MS RD LDN

Hi! I’m Jen Belanger. You can probably guess that my life revolves around food! I love cooking it, eating it, talking about it, and teaching others about it! Nutrition is so much more than just what we eat to fuel our bodies. It’s baking cookies with grandma in her kitchen, biting into a fresh picked peach on a hot August day, and gathering with our families around the table on Thanksgiving. My approach to food and nutrition is simple and realistic. I want to help you, your children, and your family love and appreciate food and all it has to offer us!

I attended Framingham State University for my undergraduate work, completing their Coordinated Program in Dietetics in 2013. I passed the RD exam just after graduation, a highly regulated board exam that you must pass in order to use RD after your name! I went back in 2017 to obtain my Master’s Degree in Nutrition from UMASS Amherst. My work experience is vast, ranging from hospital, subacute, and long-term care dietetics, to family and pediatric nutrition counseling. I love the fast paced and ever-changing thrill of the field!

Staying active in the community and giving back is so important to me! I live in Belchertown with my husband, daughters, and fiesty Doberman. I’ve hosted some free nutrition classes at the Belchertown Senior Center and Clapp Memorial Library. I regularly appear on WWLP’s hit lifestyle show Mass Appeal showcasing recipes and healthy eating tips. Make sure you check out the Videos tab to see what I’m all about! In my free time I love traveling, hiking, dancing, and reading.

Jen is also a trained feeding therapist specializing in infant and toddler feeding, including Baby Led Weaning, the picky toddler phase, challenges feeding school-aged kids, and pediatrics with complex care needs. Jen also offers treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating for all ages. Jen practices from a trauma informed, weight inclusive lens. Izzy Wilson

CLC and Admin

Hi, I’m Izzy. I’m a Certified Lactation Counselor with a passion for supporting mothers and families through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and beyond. In addition to the work I do with lactation, I am a senior at the University of New Hampshire majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics working to become a Registered Dietitian with a focus on prenatal and lactation nutrition, helping to guide and empower families through some of the most important (and sometimes challenging) stages of life.

In addition to my studies and counseling work, I also handle administrative tasks for our office — so if you give us a call, there’s a good chance you’ll be speaking directly with me! I’m always happy to help and look forward to speaking with you. You may also recognize me from my role as Co-Host of our podcast Mom, What’s For Dinner where Jen and I discuss numerous nutrition topics related to feeding kids. Including topics like picky eating, nutrition to support breastfeeding, and so much more.
