Insurance
We are in network with major insurance plans. Understanding insurance can be tricky!
Nutrition and Occupational Therapy clients: please understand that RDs and OTs do not diagnose. We bill insurance using preventative codes when appropriate, or medical codes written by your/your child’s physician.
At times, visits will go towards your plan deductible. This is beyond the control of the providers at Jen Belanger Nutrition, and we are legally obligated to collect deductibles, coinsurances, and copays, per your insurance plan.
Please know that all insurance plans are a little bit different and we do not verify your benefits for you. It is the responsibility of the client to know their plan benefits; what is covered and what isn’t. We are well versed in what is covered for many plans, so please ask us, but when in doubt always check your benefits with your insurance company.
Lactation Clients: We have a unique attribute at Jen Belanger Nutrition in that our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant is also a physician. This means that Dr. Rose completes a thorough medical evaluation of both mother and baby, therefore mother and baby are treated as two separate clients. This means insurance is billed for mother’s visit and baby’s visit, which could mean two deductible payments or two copays. Jen Belanger Nutrition is not in control of how these claims are processed by your insurance plan.
We are in network with the following insurance plans, which does not guarantee payment.
Aetna
Blue Cross and Blue Shield
Cigna
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care
Health New England
Mass General Brigham
Tufts Commercial Plans
Tufts Health Public Plans
Unicare/Wellpoint (select diagnoses only)
United Healthcare
Wellsense (Formerly BMC HealthNet)
We DO NOT accept MassHealth Standard or Medicare.
If we do not accept your insurance, self pay options are available.
We can also provide a Superbill that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement.
